Tuesday, April 17, 2007 ( Informal Economy @ 11:01 PM ) I was waiting impatiently for a cab with my bro as we were running late for church. To my horror, this group of foreigners just stood infront of despite witnessing me flagging for cab. Are they blind or wat???!?!?!? (i shouldnt be in that mood since i going to ...btw...) Suddenly, a lorry pulled over. I was wondering 'eh new type of cab? wah so nice can hitch a ride?) Something was amiss... Lorry uncle: Where are u all going?(in chinese) ME and my bro: Ergh Simei The next thing that i remembered, we boarded the lorry. Kinda cool isnt it? a lorry cab!!! As we were travelling, the lorry uncle started sharing his life stories like he got 4 kids to feed, he is very poor no money to eat. So i guess we have to give extra 'cab fare' maybe lorry surcharge. HAHA..Honestly usually we take a cab cost 6 dollars. We were kind enough to give 10 dollars giving him the benefit of a doubt that his story was true. Lorry Uncle: Can give me extra 10 dollars? 5 Dollars? I kinda felt that it was a scam already so in the end we juz gave him 10 which i think is quite a bit already!
